So lately, I have been getting odd messages from random guys on facebook. They wont be on my friends list and I will have to accept their message to read it. When I do I see the message, I notice they are friends with my other people on my friends list. So for a moment, I drop my guard down and then ask them if they know the friend we have in common. Then it usually turns out that they really don't. They add people on facebook it seems to get access to their friends so that they can send them flirty messages. This is turning into a growing peeve of mine.
So the last list creeper happened this weekend. Dude messaged me and I look at his profile and I can tell right away he's an oddball and I am not really attracted to him. He has these random videos talking about he has a sick sense of style and I wasn't really feeling anything about him. So quickly I am trying to establish why he is messaging (which I admit, should seem obvious) and how he knows my friend. So he fesses up he saw me and thought I was cute and that I should treat it the same as him coming up to me in person and flirting with me. Then he admits he doesn't know my friend and in fact tried to hit on her but she turned out to be in a romantic relationship.
So as I soon as I see that, I deny his friend request and block him. I'm kinda harsh these days but I decided a while ago, I am not entertaining possible would be stalkers/creepers.
So all the while I am asking my friend via text...do you know this guy? She is like not really. He then starts messaging her and he asks her what she said to me. She told the truth. She said "I told her I didn't really know you like that." This was his response:
I love how he claims I will never find another man better than him....well if that is what is out there then I am going to save for a nice sexdoll or customized robot cause no thanks. What I also find fascinating is how he gave me a disclaimer early on that he wasn't crazy. This seems pretty crazy to me. My poor friend got really irate and was the victim of drive by crazy but I told her, at least he won't be bothering more of your friends in the future. There is always a silver lining :)
